Empowering Independence: NDIS Cooking Skills Program

Welcome to The Clever Cooks NDIS Independent Living Skills Cooking Program – a unique culinary journey tailored to empower individuals with essential cooking skills for sustained independence. Our program, thoughtfully designed by experienced educator Naomi Hagnmuller, focuses on providing personalised attention in a small, intimate setting.
Sessions vary by price and timing (see below), our program ensures a maximum 1:3 student-to-teacher ratio, guaranteeing a supportive and individualised learning environment. This inclusive approach allows participants to grasp basic cooking skills that lay the foundation for continued self-sufficiency.
Each session not only covers fundamental culinary techniques but also includes a delicious meal prepared by the participants themselves, making the learning experience both practical and rewarding. Our comprehensive program aims to foster confidence in the kitchen, making everyday cooking tasks accessible to all.
The progam is designed to be flexible, based on the participamts point of need and personal interests, programs will run in a small group setting allowing for increase in social communication skills, team work and new found friendshis with like minded people.

Only offered to NDIS self and plan managed participants.
All food prepared will come home with the client as well as a cookbook at the end of the program so you can use them at home.
Note: Participants are welcome, but not needed to bring a support worker with them if they wish, support worker will not be charged but will also not have food allocated to them as well. Their role will be to support their cleints in the kitchen if needed.

* Thursday session is tailored to more than just cooking skills, but learning how to budget, cost ingredients, read labels. An at home menu plan an be arranged. This session can involve attending the shops, however aplan will be discussed as a group to ensure clients interests. The day is designed to eat together and socailise, active cooking time is no more than 2 hours
